Was just surfing and found out a report from Strategy Analytics that states that 1 Billion Smartphones were shipped in 2014. It marks the
biggest sales figure for an Operating System so far.
The firm said that Android had a massive 81 percent share of all smartphone shipments in 2014, which totaled 1.3 billion units. In 2013 global smartphone shipments reached 1 billion total but last year in 2014 only Android did it alone. That’s now a big Achievement!

iOS had a 15% share in the smartphone market with the shipment of 192.7 million iOS smartphones globally making it a distant second place.
On third, it is Windows Phone with market share of 3%.
So Android is now going well and hopes this trend will continues in 2015 as we still have high number of Android devices expecting in Market.
