Android and Window Phones to Have "Kill Switch" Feature

A kill Switch is an amazing feature that deter the growing problem of mobile phone thieves and let the phone to be non operational after theft. It also allow user to wipe off datas and infos after theft.
It's just to add more security to smartphones.
According to news from GSMARENA,
“Apple already has a kill switch feature loaded on its iPhones, and the New York City Attorney General cited that there was a 19% decrease in iPhone thefts ever since the feature was implemented; whereas Samsung phones that still didn’t carry the feature experienced a 40% increase in robberies.”
Now the New York Attorney General has reached and signed agreements with Google and Microsoft to add “kill switches” to Android and Windows Phone devices. What do you think about the feature?
